About Interpersona
Interpersona explains the research on personal relationships in plain language.
Relationships research is some of the most useful science there is, and some of the hardest to read. It is published for other researchers, in journals, behind the vocabulary of the field. Interpersona reads it for you: the studies on attachment, dating, love, conflict, friendship and intimacy, explained carefully, with what each study found and what it cannot prove.
Alongside the explainers, Interpersona keeps an archive of relationship research volumes, preserved at the addresses their citations use, so the students and scholars who cite them always find them working.
What you will find here
- Topics: six areas of relationship research, from attachment to intimacy.
- Research, explained: plain-language explainers that start from named, published studies.
- The archive: early volumes, contents pages and papers in PDF.
- Choosing a Therapist: a free guide to finding and checking a couples therapist.
How we work
Every explainer names its study, follows the study's own findings, and finishes with its limits. Our editorial policy sets out the standards in full. Readers are welcome to suggest studies for future explainers through the contact page.
